Community Standards
Maveebo is operated by MAVIBO LTD. These Community Standards explain what is and isn't allowed on Maveebo. They exist to keep Maveebo a respectful, safe space for adults. Everyone who uses Maveebo agrees to follow them. They work alongside our Terms of Service and our Child Safety Standards.
What is not allowed
No harassment
Do not harass, stalk, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who does not want to hear from you. Treat other people with respect.
No hate, abuse, or threats
Do not attack, demean, or dehumanise people based on who they are, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. Threats of violence and abusive behaviour are not tolerated.
No impersonation
Do not pretend to be someone you are not, create fake or misleading profiles, or use another person's photos or identity.
No illegal content or activity
Do not post content or use Maveebo for anything that breaks the law, and do not encourage others to do so.
No sexual exploitation
Do not engage in or promote sexual exploitation, coercion, trafficking, or sextortion. Do not use Maveebo to exploit anyone.
No minors — Maveebo is 18+
Maveebo is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. Anyone under 18 is not allowed to use Maveebo, and any content that sexualises or endangers a minor is forbidden. See our Child Safety Standards for our zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation.
No spam or scams
Do not send spam, solicit money, run scams or phishing, advertise, or use Maveebo for commercial purposes without our permission.
No non-consensual content
Do not share intimate or private content of another person without their consent, and do not threaten to share such content. Do not record or distribute anything involving a person who has not agreed to it.
Report and block
If you see something that breaks these standards, you can act right away:
- Report in the app. Open a profile and use the report option to flag the user or content to our team.
- Block in the app. You can block any user from their profile. Blocking removes them from your experience and stops them from contacting you.
- Email us. You can also reach us at abuse@maveebo.com, or for child-safety concerns at safety@maveebo.com.
Enforcement
We review reports and act on violations of these standards. Depending on the severity and history of the behaviour, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warning — a notice that the behaviour must stop.
- Content removal — taking down content that breaks these standards.
- Suspension — temporarily limiting or pausing access to the account.
- Account termination — permanently removing the account and barring the person from Maveebo.
Serious violations — including anything involving a minor or an imminent threat to someone's safety — may result in immediate termination without warning, and may be reported to the relevant authorities as described in our Child Safety Standards.
