This Privacy Policy explains how MAVIBO LTD (“MAVIBO”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the Maveebo mobile app (the “App”). Maveebo is a location-based mobile social app intended for adults.

1. Who we are

The Maveebo app is developed and operated by MAVIBO LTD. MAVIBO LTD is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information you provide

Account information

When you create an account, we collect information needed to identify and secure your account. You can sign in with email, Google, or Apple. We store your email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address if you choose Sign in with Apple) and the authentication identifier from the sign-in method you choose.

Profile information

You may add profile information such as a display name, age, a short bio, and profile photos. All of these fields are optional. Profile fields that are sensitive by nature — for example, fields relating to health or sexual practices — are always optional, are never required to use the App, and are not shown to other users unless you specifically choose to display them.

Photos and media

You may upload photos to your profile or send photos in chat. Photos sent in chat are stored in our cloud storage so they can be delivered to the recipient. If you save a chat photo to your in-app private library, that saved copy is restricted so that only you can read it through the App. Please do not upload images of other people without their consent, and do not upload sensitive documents.

Messages and chat

You can send text messages and photos to other users through the App. We process and store this content so we can deliver it to the intended recipient. Access to a conversation is restricted by our backend security rules so that only the participants in that conversation can read it through the App.

Chat is not end-to-end encrypted

In this version of the App, chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Chat content is protected in transit using standard transport-layer encryption, and access at rest is restricted by our security rules, but chat content is not technically inaccessible to us. We may access, process, or store chat content where necessary to operate the service, investigate reports, enforce our community rules, prevent abuse, comply with law, or respond to legal requests. If you need end-to-end encrypted messaging, please use a service that provides it. We will update this policy before any change to this position.

Reports, blocks and safety actions

If you report or block another user, or another user reports or blocks you, we record the relevant accounts, the reason, and any related context. We may review reports, related conversation history, and related profile information to enforce our Community Standards and our Child Safety Standards. Safety records may be retained even after an account is closed. You can report concerns in the app, or email abuse@maveebo.com (or safety@maveebo.com for child-safety concerns).

Referrals and invites

If you share a referral code or use one shared with you, we record the code and the relationship between sender and recipient. Referral redemption and any related rewards are paused in this version of the App. We will update this policy before referral rewards become active.

3. Information collected automatically

Approximate location

With your permission, the App uses your device location to show you nearby users and to sort profiles by distance. Your location is rounded to reduce precision before it is stored on your public profile, and the distance shown to other users is presented in coarse buckets, not as exact figures. You can decline or revoke the location permission at any time in your device settings; if you do, distance-based features will be unavailable.

Device and technical information

We may receive basic technical information from your device, such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, and a device identifier used by the Apple and Google push-notification systems to deliver notifications to your device.

Service operation data

We receive information generated by your use of the App, such as when an account is created or when it was last seen online. This is used to operate the service.

No third-party advertising or analytics

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics services. The only performance-related service we use is Firebase Performance Monitoring (see below), and the App does not display advertisements.

4. Firebase and Google services we use

Maveebo is built on Firebase, a Google service. The following Firebase / Google components are integrated in the App and process data on our behalf under Google's own terms and security commitments:

Push notifications from Maveebo are deliberately minimal. We do not send the body of a message in the notification payload — opening the App fetches the actual content. This reduces the chance that message content is exposed on a lock screen or in your operating system's notification log.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account (see Account & Data Deletion), we remove or anonymise the personal information associated with your account.

Some limited records may be retained where we have a legitimate need to keep them: to investigate or prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce safety policies (including against accounts that have been previously reported), to handle complaints or disputes, to comply with legal obligations, or in routine system backups for a limited period. Where information is retained for these reasons, it is access-controlled and used only for the purpose for which it was kept.

9. Security

We use standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, backend access rules that restrict who can read or modify each piece of data, and password or federated-identity authentication. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

10. Children

Maveebo is intended for users aged 18 and older. You must confirm you are 18 or older to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation; see our Child Safety Standards for how we prevent, review, and report it. If you believe a minor has created an account, or you encounter any child-safety concern, please contact safety@maveebo.com (or privacy@maveebo.com) and we will take appropriate action, including deletion of the account.

12. International use

Maveebo may be used from many countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed in countries where MAVIBO LTD or our service providers operate, including outside your country of residence.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App, our practices, or applicable law change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know in the App or by email before it takes effect.
